shorter rides

Hi, interested new potential member here. Does anyone organize shorter rides or is that not really practical? My endurance is pretty poor, especially at the beginning of season and really couldn't do 20+ mile rides in hilly terrain in April/May. Is there sort of a get back in shape series of rides that gradually increases mileage? Thanks!

Derek: your post here is a good start and someone may respond. But also check our Ride Calendar. Just put a number of days into the:

Show ?? Days From Today (* = all, including historical) __

field (try 20). I did and found at least 6 rides of 20 miles or less before the end of April. You'll want something that's classified as casual or novice probably just to get you started. If you have any questions, the ride leader contact information is posted right with the ride so just go ahead and write or call them.
