The Mohawk Hudson Cycling Club consists of 800 (or so) members who mostly live in the Capital District area of eastern New York State. MHCC sponsors road and mountain bike rides for beginning through experienced riders within an approximate 80 mile radius of the Albany-Troy-Schenectady area.

Root 66 - Hopbrook Dam

Just finished the Root 66 Hobbrook Dam XC race in CT this past weekend. It was my first race so I have nothing to compare it to yet. It seemed well organized and there were around 200 competitors including all categories. The course seemed pretty hard, very hilly and rocky, but as I say, I am learning how to mountain bike. They are trying to save money, so no swag, but the races aren't to expensive. May try the Fat Tire Classic as well in a few weeks.
