OK, here's the deal. If this Club is going to continue to put on this event every year, and I as Vp for MTB for this Club am going to tear my hair out trying to make sure that it is fun and cool and a good time is had by all, then I would really like to know if anyone is going to SHOW UP or to volunteer to help for that matter.

The Club only puts on 2 BIG EVENTS every year for MHCC members to get together, socialize and ride together. This is one of them. If you are a MTB person, or even if you ever had the inclination to TRY it out, then come out for crying out loud!

For those of you who just pay your dues and never show up for rides that go, or never bother to participate in anything else for whatever your reason is. . . . GET OFF YOUR ASS AND GET OUT HERE!!!!! Even if you don't want to volunteer for anything, I DON'T CARE! This is YOUR CLUB, if you pay dues to it, so start being a part of it again by showing your support for your Club's Event!

Even if Grafton is not your cup of tea, maybe it's not about that. Maybe you should come out just to reconnect with the other people that love this sport as much as you do, or as much as you used to love it, as the acse may be.

It's only a meager $10. You probably spend that on a "long lunch" out with your buddies from work! If you come, you not only get lunch, you get the chance to win a new bike in the Ski Market Raffle (everyone gets one ticket), you can demo new high-end Specialized bikes while you are there, and maybe win some cool prizes in the Bike Games over the lunch hour. We had 67 people last year and a beautiful sunny day in July. this time it's August 11th, a Saturday. Come be a part of something great and support your Club!

Use the pre-registration form in the July Bikeabout and mail checks for pre-reg to me at P.O. Box 25 Grafton, NY 12082. Payments to MHCC.

Thanks!

Chris Roe
