Minutes from the MHCC Board Meeting
May 2005

I. Mark Fiato:

MHCC made a $250 donation to the Capital District Cancer Resource
Foundation
in memory of Mark J Fiato.

A flower arrangement was also sent from MHCC.

We are planning to include an article(s) about Mark in June BikeAbout.
If
anyone has pictures of Mark or would like to submit an article, please
contact Bob Cohen.

II. David Ryan Ride:

The David Ryan Ride will be held on Saturday, June 25th. Bob Cohen
will
lead the Casual ride, Brian Daniels will lead the Tour ride, and we are
still looking for someone to lead the Quick Tour.

Betty Ayres will contact the Times Union and Schenectady Gazette to
inform
them about the ride.

We are looking for someone to say a few words at the beginning of the
ride
about David and about bike safety.

III. Financial Report:

The financial report was present and we seem to be within budget.

IV. Legislative Breakfast:

Brian Daniels spoke at the Legislative Breakfast on Tuesday May 17th.
About
50 people attended the breakfast and he had a few moments to actual
speak
with some of the legislators.

V. Ride Leaders Guide Book:

Brian is planning on rewrite the section of the guide book that deals
with
serious accidents. The ride leader must contact a member of the board
when
a serious accident occurs.

VII. MHCC Insert:

Darryl Carron presented the board with the MHCC Insert that was include
in
the May issue of the Adirondack Sport & Fitness. MHCC purchase 3,000
additional copies that we plan to distribute at various events through
out
the summer, including the Century Weekend, area bike shops, and the
Freihofer's ride for Women to name a few.

We will wait until the May issues for the ADK are out of the bike shops
before dropping off the MHCC Insert.

VIII. Magnetic Signs:

Betty will pick up the signs on her next trip to Saratoga. Bob has the
check for the signs and will get it to Betty.

IX. Century Weekend:

Brian discussed a idea for the design of the Century Weekend T-shirt.
Bob
suggest using bright colors which would make it better for riding.

X. Board Meetings:

There will be no board meeting in June.

Meetings for the Century Weekend will commence starting in July.
